The Free Gift
God loves you so much, that He had His only Son come to this earth and die in your place so you could have this awesome relationship with Him today. The only thing that is separating you from that relationship is your sin, but that is what Jesus went to the cross for, that everything you have or ever will do wrong can be forgiven right now, and God wants to give you a future and a hope today that on the day you die eternal life in Heaven is yours. John 3:16
And that is what this gold bead reminds me of, it reminds me of Heaven, in the Bible it says that Heaven is made out of pure gold, even the streets are gold. Revelation 21:18, 21
And the God of the Bible has created that place for all who will turn to and trust in His Son Jesus and believe in what Jesus did for them on that cross. You see all of us have a sin problem that is why at times you feel empty or lost inside. Sin is those things that we all do wrong. But sin is what separates you from a relationship with God. That is what this black bead reminds me of, in the Bible it says that the wages of sin is death. Romans 3:23
So I want to go to Heaven but I can’t because I am not perfect, but the good news is, is that Jesus died in my place on that cross that I deserved because I am the one who sinned. But because God loves me and desires this relationship with me, His Son died in our place and rose again from the dead and desires to do this incredible work in your life of forgiving you and being a part of you. Romans 5:8, Romans 6:23
That is what the red bead reminds me of. That Jesus bloodshed on that cross covers over all our sins so that we can be forgiven and our relationship with God restored. Jesus literally became the only way for you to be able to
approach a Holy God. And if you will turn to Him, if you will change your thinking about who Jesus is and what He has done for you, and ask Him to come into your heart and be the Lord of your life because you believe Jesus died on the cross and rose again from the dead…He will. Romans 10:9
You see as you turn away from your sin and turn to Jesus and ask Him to forgive you and to come and be the Lord of your life, not only will Jesus do that, see this white bead here, it reminds me that the blood of Jesus (the red bead) washes over my sins (the black bead) and when you ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your Lord…His blood will cover over your life and make everything in your life new and clean and pure. Isaiah1:18; 2 Corinthians 5:17
You want your sins forgiven by believing in what Jesus has done for you at the cross, then you need to turn to Him!
You want this relationship that Jesus God’s Son has for you because He rose from the dead, then you need to receive Jesus into your heart as Lord!
You want the promise of eternal life that when you die you are able to enter Heaven because Jesus lives in you!
Then let’s pray and ask Jesus to come into your heart, just repeat these words out loud after me…
Jesus…I thank You for dying for me…that my sin might be taken away…I admit…I need You…to forgive me of all of my sins…thank You for forgiving me Jesus…I believe that You rose from the dead…and I ask You…to come and live inside my heart…and be the Lord and Master of my life…fill me with Your Holy Spirit…thank You for saving me…now use me for Your kingdom…in Jesus name…amen
If you believed with all your heart as you just prayed…this is what the Bible says just happened…but as many as received Jesus, to them the Father gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His Son. John 1:12
Notice there is 1 bead left, the green bead. As you look around what do you see that is green? Are they growing or dying? Now that Jesus lives in you, He wants this growing relationship with you. That happens as you:
- Hang out with other Christians and encourage one another.
- Attend our church with us where the Bible is taught.
- Reading your Bible, start in Matthew and read to the end of the NT.
- Prayer is talking with God.
- Share with others that your sin is forgiven and Jesus is the Master of your life.

Jesus, I thank You for dying for me that my sin might be taken away. I confess I need You to forgive me of all of my sins. Thank You for forgiving me Jesus. I believe that You rose from the dead, and I ask You to come and live inside my heart and be the Lord and Master of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for saving me, now use me for Your kingdom, in Jesus name, amen.
